Why Study at MCL?

Good Location

The college's main campus is the Palmerston Road campus, whilst the Masons Avenue premises, which was our main campus from April, 2004 to October, 2011 has been retained as an Enquiries Office. All classroom teaching now takes place at our Palmerston Road campus. MCL is located in Wealdstone, Harrow, Middlesex, which is within 2 minutes walk from Harrow and Wealdstone Underground (Bakerloo Line) and Railway Station. The area is a suburb of North-West London, having close proximity to the new Wembley Stadium and 12 minutes train ride from central London (Euston Station). Heathrow Airport, which is the nearest international Airport is 40 minutes from the College, whilst there is also a direct train from Gatwick Airport to Harrow and Wealdstone Station.

Our Palmerston Road campus is adequately furnished, and includes wall-to-wall carpeting throughout, which gives the College a pleasing aura and presence. The lecture rooms are bright and airy, warm in winter and well ventilated in summer. 

MCL provides wireless and fully networked computer and internet facilities for the use of our students as an integral part of our Learning Resource Centre at our Palmerston Road Campus.

Photocopying Facilities

With the exception of copying from textbooks, subsidised photocopying facilities are also provided for all our students with respect to lecture handouts.

Resource Centre

MCL has its own Learning Resource Centre/Reading Room facilities which contain a collection of the All England Law Reports, as well as other books, journals and magazines. The main collection of recommended textbooks are kept in the General Office, which are made available to students, either for reference purposes or to be loaned out to them for a period of one week at a time. In addition, our students have access to two local Libraries (Wealdstone Library and Harrow Civic Centre Library), whilst our law students have additional access to the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) of University of London International Programmes. The VLE provides access to LexisNexis and Westlaw, which contain several Law Reports, Publications and Law Journals.

Excellent Tuition

We offer classroom tuition, seminars and (for some law classes - tutorials) that are based on the syllabuses of the University of London International Programmes. Our lecturers are experienced in dealing with the needs and demands of all our students at every level.

Welfare

Given the large number of international students at MCL, we endeavour to go out of our way to ensure that matters concerning counselling, accommodation, opening of bank accounts, transportation, and registering with local GPs are accorded priority attention. Airport pick-up facility is also available to our international students coming to UK for the first time. We also provide pastoral care to our students, bearing in mind that some of them are visiting the UK for the first time. We consider it essential that students are made to feel at home and consider the College as their second home.

BAC Accreditation

MCL is accredited by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education. Prior to accreditation, MCL went through a process of inspection, which required a thorough examination of documentation and infrastructure available to students, especially those from overseas.

Recreational Facilities

Harrow Leisure Centre is walking distance from MCL. Our students can enjoy the use of the Centre's Swimming Pool facilities, together with a well equipped Gym, Badminton Courts, Squash Courts, Table Tennis etc.

Permission to Teach for the University of London Diploma in Law

MCL has permission from the University of London to teach for the Diploma in Law of University of London International Programmes. This provides MCL with the opportunity to enrol those students who may not have had the chance to meet the entry requirements to join the LLB Degree in the first instance.
