Enrolment
on a course at our College constitutes a binding learning contract
between you (the
student) and Middlesex College of Law to pay your tuition fees in full,
diligently attend all your classes, undertake and submit your
course assignments on time, and participate in class seminars
and discussions.
MCL reserves the right to
expel you from the College
if you breach any of the terms and conditions of your
acceptance. All fees
must be paid in full prior to the start date of course. |

2. |
As an
overseas students,
you are required to attend lectures and tutorials for a
minimum of 15 hours of day-time study per week.
Please note that the
UK Border Agency
requires that the College
monitors the exact number of hours that you attend and they check this
regularly. |

3. |
As a student of Middlesex College of Law, if your attendance
record falls
below 80%
at anytime during the academic session and if your absence from
classes is without the authorization of the College Management,
you will be liable to expulsion from the College and the UKBA
will be notified immediately.
If you are expelled from MCL for reasons of absenteeism and
deported from the United Kingdom by UKBA,
you will not be entitled to a refund of tuition fees already
paid. |

In the event of absence for medical or other reason, you should
inform the Admissions Secretary. Absence of more than 3 days for
medical reasons must be supported by a medical certificate. |

5. |
Time-tables and Fees may be altered at the discretion of the College. |
|
6. |
The
College reserves the right not to run courses as advertised, as courses
will only be run if justified by demand. Fees already paid will be
refunded in the event of course cancellation. |

7. |
It is your
responsibility as a student to register with the University of London
(Degree Students only) and also to ensure that the payment of their
Application Handling Fee, Initial Registration Fee, Continuing
Registration Fee and Examination Fees are made on time. Tuition fees
already paid to our College will not be refunded where a student has
failed to complete his registration or payment to University of London
within the specified time allowed by the University. |

Our College must be
notified immediately
of
any change of address or telephone number
and other personal details. |

9. |
If you obtain a student visa with our
Confirmation of Acceptance (CAS)
and unilaterally decides
not take up the offer of a place, which has been reserved, without the
consent of MCL, tuition fees already paid will not be refunded and you will be liable for the balance of fees for that academic year.
The UKBA will also be notified immediately. |

Once you have obtained your student visa and arrived in the UK,
you will only be permitted to study the course for which you have
obtained your visa to study at our College on your CAS. |

11. |
For
students already in the United Kingdom with a student visa, it is
a condition of enrolment that tuition fees are
paid in full
at the time of
registration. |
|
12. |
For
overseas applicants, payment of your
full tuition fees is
required at the time of enrolment and before the issuance of
CAS. |
|
|
Note: a) Payment of the first year’s tuition fees by installments is not
permitted under any circumstances;
b) Students enrolling through overseas local
representatives are required to pay their tuition fees for the first
year in full to MCL through the local representative in their
country before collecting their CAS. |

|
Refund:
a) If you have paid your tuition fees to MCL in full and you
are refused entry clearance to enter the United Kingdom as a
student, or decide not to proceed with your application for
any reason whatsoever, you will be entitled to a refund of the
amount paid less the sum of £250.00.
b) If
our CAS was issued to you on more than one occasion upon your request
and you still fail to obtain your student visa, a further sum of
£200.00 will be deducted from your tuition fees to cover the
additional administrative work and incidental costs.
c) Should your application for student visa be
refused and you request a refund of your tuition fees, you will
be requested by our College to provide a copy of the Notice
of Immigration Decision, together with a written
confirmation that you do not intend to seek an
administrative review of the refusal decision. In the
circumstance, the College will ensure that you receive your
refund within a period of 4-6 weeks.
d) After a place has been reserved for you by our
College, if your application for student visa is refused by the
British High Commission/Embassy in you country on the grounds
that you have used forged documents, your payment will not be refunded to you until you have proved
to the British High Commission/Embassy in your country that your
documents were genuine and not forged. |

13. |
Fees are not refundable or transferable once you have commenced
your studies at our College, whilst allowance cannot be made for non-attendance,
sickness, withdrawal or refusal of visa extension by the UK
Border Agency. |

14. |
If your are late in starting your course, you will not be
entitled to any refund of/or reduction in tuition fees. This
also applies if you have been absent from classes for a
period of time and where you may not have been attending all
the subjects for which you have been enrolled. |

15. |
If you are required by the UK Border Agency to leave the UK
because of none or poor attendance, or because of a breach of
other UK Immigration Rules, tuition fees paid will not be refundable. |

16. |
Important notices are displayed on the College’s main notice
board and it is the student’s responsibility to ensure that such
notices are read. |
